As Evangelical Christians we believe in Jesus Christ and seek to follow his teaching in the Bible. We believe the bible is God’s word to all people and use it as our only rule and guide for our beliefs and practices, because God reveals himself to us in the Bible it is completely reliable.

The Bible tells us that “Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.” He is God’s one and only son who came to save sinners from death and hell. The Bible teaches that every human being is a sinner because we have offended God and broken his laws. As a result God is angry and has promised to punish all sin.

But the good news of the Gospel is that Jesus Christ by dying on the cross at Calvary has taken God’s holy anger against sin on himself. This means that everyone who asks him to forgive their sin and is willing to live in obedience to his word will receive pardon and the gift of eternal life. This is what Christians often refer to as “being saved”. Only Jesus is able to take away our sin and give us a new and fulfilling life.
